Dear friend,
You can’t always find the funny side of things. Some days it’s misplaced.
“Where was the last time you remember having it?”
“Well I know I had with me this morning, then all hell broke loose and I haven’t seen it since.”
“Have you searched all of your pockets? Maybe it’s in your bag?”
There can be a pressure to please. To make things right.
But sometimes people just can’t be pleased. No matter how much we care for another, it’s not our responsibility to make them happy.
People who care about others try to help, be there, be supportive. Share. Delight. Laugh and cry together. We try to avoid adding to the suffering in the world.
We worry about the people we love. True enough. But how does it feel to know someone is worrying about you?
Why not also bless them as well?
You have the power to bless.
Everyone has it.
It’s not a reserved occupation, conferred only on the ordained.
The power to bless comes from our soul.
We can never be separated from who we are.
Our soul identity.
Unity.
Oneness.
Wholeness.
Holiness.
Another word that has been colonised.
Rolled in the dust of the centuries.
Dulled perhaps, but under the tarnished surface the light shines.
Darkness is dispelled in an instant, no matter how long it has reigned.
When we laugh at our own imperfections the false self is undone.
It’s enough to make the effort to forgive, to be kind.
No matter how many times we slip up.
Till tomorrow
Love
Mikey
