Trusting the Process
What Happens When We Show Up?
Dear Friend,
Learning is something we do quite naturally when we arrive here. We don’t need external incentives, curiosity about the world comes built in.
Playfulness too.
Playful curiosity might be another way to speak of creativity.
The concept that some people are creative and others not persists. Most unsettlingly so when it comes from a child, but that is where the misconception takes root. You’ll hear it, maybe you’ll even say it about yourself, but it still doesn’t make it true.
We’re creating with our thoughts, feelings and actions our very lives.
Think about it for a moment. To create a life is no small feat.
To be talked out of our creative role is to be swindled into giving away our power.
We’re not creating alone. We’re co-creating in a collaborative process with all living beings. All of life’s creations influence each other directly and indirectly.
Often, not always, but way too often for comfort, it’s unfair.
If we can’t be manipulated out of it, then the deluded will use threats and force.
What would happen then if we showed up in the fullness of our creative capacity for love and connection? Not forever. Just in this moment.
As best we can.
How long could a moment last?
The human mind, has limits. It can’t make a picture which can contain the staggering potential and diversity of our universe, never mind the multiverse. Our creative power is unknown. Perhaps unknowable. At best we can surrender to the process of self discovery.
Showing up, like we did when we were curious and playful.
I’ll be facilitating a live online workshop for the Miracles Network. I sometimes get asked to do this kind of thing. My part is to accept the invitation and show up. The title for the workshop is “The Art of Surrender.”
It’s ninety minutes starting 7pm UK time on Tuesday 26th March 2024.
It’ll be a decent fit for you if Jesus is a friendly figure in your mind.
I asked Jesus for the title of the workshop and “The Art of Surrender” is what flashed on the screen of my mind. I surrendered to that. The false self goes “What do you know about surrender?” But that’s not the point. I won’t be showing up as an expert. More like a fellow traveller.
I’m in process too.
There’s not a lot the false self can do with surrender, which is more to the point.

Maybe I’ll see you there.
Till tomorrow
